Keep calm and carry on...

Do we have any other choice when it comes to January and February?

As the days start to get every so slightly longer, the snowdrops appear, and the Six Nations start, I find myself feeling quite antsy to be done with winter and move onto Spring as quickly as possible.

My positive feelings for 2018 have waned slightly with some challenging moments in the first few weeks of the year. I'm quite sure there are lessons to be learned from these moments and they may even serve me well in the future, but sometimes you wish 'life's great tapestry' could be sewn a little better...

There is much to be positive about of course. January brought quite a few miles, walked and ran. I also enjoyed volunteering at parkrun at Vogrie on the 6th of January - there's really something about volunteering that gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I hope I can volunteer roughly once a month, but I'm also hoping to reach 50 parkruns this year (currently on 17!) so we'll see if I can manage both!
